Description
Duo Brothers Broke bring their sell out, 5-star reviewed Edinburgh Fringe show to the intimate setting of the DDOS Green Room Theatre, Dorking, adapting and performing a unique interpretation of songs by Dylan and Lennon.
The duo modify and present the songs in a Blues / Folk style with tight sibling harmonies, around a story of the influence, jealousy, parody and respect that each artist had for the other.
Why did Dylan keep it to himself that he really dug the Beatles? And why was Lennon at first, in awe of Dylan, only to deride him shortly afterwards?
This is a story exploring the intriguing relationship between the two artists and asks questions like why the lyrics to their songs are as relevant in today’s political world as they were back then.
“Far more in-depth than a simple tribute concert”…The Wee Review (Edfringe 2023)
“Absolutely brilliant…the music was superb”…Sinners Music (Edfringe 2023)
“To call it a tribute act would be underselling the raw talent on display from this unsuspecting pair”…The Student (Edfringe 23)
“A mesmerising musical show. A must see for anyone who appreciates the power of music to evoke emotions, inspire reflection and shed light on the socio-political landscape”…Counter Culture (Edfringe 23)
