A Joy Forever – Leaves to a Tree Haiku group

Live event or show

Description

Centred around the visit of John Keats to the Burford Bridge in 1817, the workshop will explore what makes a good combination of prose and the minimalist Japanese inspired poem haiku to make a piece called a haibun.

Prompts in the form of pictures and extracts from Keats’ writing will be offered to inspire the writing of pieces connected with the time and location of Keats’ visit to Mole Valley. This is a central theme of a recent book by the workshop leader Diana Webb called ‘envelopes ‘.
